*Prosthetic Advisor* at *Miracles and Mane* *Roles & Responsibilities:* Miracles and Mane is a *Durable Medical Equipment company* specializing in cranial prosthetics and medical wigs for patients who suffer hair loss.
The Miracles Advisor is responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to provide the best patient experience.
*The Miracles Advisor is responsible for all phases of referral intake, benefits verification, patient qualification against payor guidelines, billing, medical documentation procurement and order processing to ensure appropriate delivery and educations of prosthetics, as well as, corporate and regulatory compliance.
* *Principal Duties & Responsibilities:* * Supports the mission, values and vision of Miracles and Mane.
* Perform insurance verification, billing and follow up as needed.
* Answer calls, emails and, walk-ins.
* Schedule appointments for consultations, fittings and maintenance.
* Measure patients scalp for appropriate fitting of cranial prosthetic.
* Recommend prosthetic type based on patient's severity of alopecia and daily activities.
* Perform quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
* Document all pertinent communication with patient, physician, insurance company * Identify and coordinate patient resources as it pertains to reimbursement, such as co-pays, 3rd party assistance programs and manufacturer assistance programs.
* Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faces and forms.
* Responsible for inventory management.
*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* * Excellent customer service and patient care skills.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Working knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, pathological basis of diseases, coding, billing and documentation of treatment and procedures.
* Excellent calculation and math skills.
* Ability to understand insurance contracts for billing purposes.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
* Ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality is required.
* Ability to be sensitive to patients, employees, clients and vendor needs and data.
* Must be detail oriented with exceptional organization skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
* Ability to project a professional image and maintain complete confidentiality.
* Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
*Position Requirements:* * HS Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors preferred.
* 2 years' experience in billing, DME, cosmetology or healthcare administration.
* Typing skills of 30 wpm.
