Youth Development Professional

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities provided within a specific program area or Clubhouse.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): Create an environment that facilitates the achievements of Youth Development Outcomes: • Promote and stimulate program participation • Register new members and participate in their club orientation process • Provide guidance and role modeling to members • Ensure proper supervision and safety of club members • Mentor youth as part of the BGC Youth Development Strategy • Driving company van to transport club members SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: • High school diploma or GED • Valid driver's license • Experience in working with children • Knowledge of youth development • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (hot or cold) • Standing/Sitting for extended periods of time • Exposure to periods of loud or excessive noises • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
