Title: Janitor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly reliable and skilled individual to join our team as a Janitor.
The Janitor will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall tidiness of our facilities, creating a safe and comfortable environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenish supplies as needed.
- Empty and sanitize trash receptacles throughout the building.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of entrance areas, hallways, stairwells, and other common areas.
- Identify and promptly report any damage, repairs, or safety hazards.
- Stock and replenish cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when low on inventory.
- Follow standard cleaning procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in small maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor damages, and organizing supplies.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, and cleaning agents.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and effective completion of duties.
- Uphold the organization's values and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a janitor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with handling and using cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and meticulousness in performing duties.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time role.
- May be required to work evenings or weekend.
- Exposure to cleaning agents and other chemicals.
- Physical effort required for tasks such as lifting heavy objects or operating cleaning equipment.
