*Job Title:* *Maintenance Technician* Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician at Virtue Recovery Center Killeen plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and upkeep of our 48 bed inpatient facility.
Reporting to the Director of Operations and Admissions (DOO/A), the maintenance technician will assist with ensuring compliance of facility and vehicles, will do daily inspections of the facility, and will assist in planning maintenance related projects.

Job Functions: * This person will be responsible for the repair and calibration of various electronic instruments, performing component level repairs, upgrades and modifications, procedures and other diagnostic tools while maintaining accurate records.
* Conduct routine inspections of the facility's interior and exterior, identifying and addressing maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair needs.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, work orders, and equipment service histories and manuals.
* Assist with cleaning and sanitation tasks, including trash removal, recycling, floor care, and restroom maintenance, to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
* Knowledge with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and or HVAC skills.
* light plumbing- (faucet, toilet, drain cleaning, P-trap repair/replace) * light electrical- (outlet, switch ballast repair/replace) * Door repairs, gate repairs, painting * Plan maintenance projects for upkeep of general facility and compliance with accrediting bodies.
* Strong communication and follow-up skills.
* A team player attitude and take direction from the DOO/A.
* Must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
* Maintain facility vehicles ensuring they are clean and in good condition * Assist with diving and client programming when necessary * Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

* Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
* Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
* Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in maintenance operations.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
* Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
* Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, and business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills: Basic to proficient computer skills are required for this position.

· Speak and have access to the special senses within normal limits (hear, taste, smell, etc.
) as it applies to patient care.
· Must be capable of lifting up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
