Job Description:
For this job position, a regional “Class A CDL Truck Driver” will operate an (Automatic Transmission) Class 8 tractor with a 9-car trailer combination, to transport automotive vehicles for paid compensation to and from specified customer locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Pick up and inspect vehicles for damage, take pictures before loading;
Load and secure vehicles using (over-the-tire) soft-ratchet straps, and transport vehicles safely;
Unload and deliver vehicles using good customer service.
Capable of performing physical demands such as:
Bending/Balancing
Crouching/Kneeling
Pushing/Pulling
Reaching/Twisting
Walking/Standing
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections;
Load and unload high-value automobiles, including some manual transmission vehicles;
Properly document (Hours of Service) using an ELD logging system;
Submit daily reports on time;
Receive and understand instructions (in English) from a supervisor or dispatch;
Report any incidents or maintenance issues to dispatch promptly.
Qualifications:
No car hauling experience is required, however, it is preferred.
(Paid hands-on training is available for qualified applicants);
Valid Texas Class A CDL & Medical Card;
21 years or older and have held and maintained a Class A CDL license for a minimum of 2 years;
Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) history, no more than 4 points in the past 2 years, and no at-fault accidents in the past 5 years;
No felonies or DUIs;
Good work ethic and customer service.
Pay and Benefits:
Earn $70,000 to $100,000+ in first year;
$3000 sign-on bonus;
Paid new-hire orientation;
Flexible home-time and work schedule options.
The driver has the choice of percentage of load pay or odometer pay per mile.
Per Diem: Right Now Auto pays drivers the 100% allowable federal per diem rate for each full day traveling at least 50 miles away from their tax home ZIP code and 75% per diem rate for partial days.
(All per diem payments are tax-free, and are not subject to income or employment taxes;
Paid holidays, paid personal and sick days;

Ability for advancement into supervisor or management positions after 1 year of employment.
