This position is responsible for analyzing customer performance to enable financial and business insights that drive value-added decisions.
This position also works with Sales, Legal, Accounting and Operations Leadership to ensure compliance with Customer Distribution Services Agreements (DSAs), execution and support customer audits and other compliance related tasks as needed.
Additionally, this person develops and maintains forward-looking forecasting models that enable proactive and asserted decisions related to customer performance and profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A teammate in this position must be able to:
Develop financial models that enable a forward-looking understanding of revenue and margin drivers from a strategic planning perspective.
Provide analytical reviews and summaries of critical data used in making decisions, which impact the revenue growth and profitability of the business unit.
Understand the standard format DSA and the DSA variations among Customers.
Prepare, review, and analyze internal and external reports to enable the identification of financial and business insights to drive value-added decisions.
Develop and maintain forward-looking forecasting models that enable proactive and asserted decisions related to customer performance and profitability.
Prepare and review profitability analyses of potential Customers.
Audit the application of all elements of customer DSAs including, but not limited to:
Payment terms
Item pricing, delivery fees, fuel surcharges and other fees
Proper application of excise and other taxes based on item characteristics, jurisdiction and applicable laws and ordinances
Prepaid and postpaid rebates and allowances
Proper and timely application of CPI and other contractual adjustments
Implement and manage the McLane Grocery Contract Compliance Application.
Enter and update contract terms, dates and contractual requirements
Follow up on activities required to remain in compliance with all DSAs
Safeguard confidentiality of DSAs in accordance with approved Company procedures.
Ensure appropriate record retention of DSAs and related information.
Facilitate Customer audits in accordance with contractual audit rights.
Perform other support tasks and functions as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must possess:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field.
Knowledge of contract management or contract law.
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Superior accuracy and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize, forecast and meet deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Primarily an office environment.
