Qualifications:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the telephone, documenting incoming deliveries, provides clerical support as requested.
In addition, the receptionist routes prospective patient / inquirer to appropriate person for assessment.
Answers and forwards incoming calls.
Provides accurate and timely data entry, coping of documents, and daily census reports, and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned.
CUSTOMERS SERVED: All hospital staff, medical staff, allied professional staff, external information requestors and patients and their families / visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service and handling phone calls, Prefer: Previous experience in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care® training.
Certification and training must be obtained within the first thirty days of hire.
