Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals, Salado PLLC has an immediate opening on our team for a motivated individual to help us care for horses.
We are a premier group of equine practices with multiple locations in Texas.
We are a busy, interactive practice with over 70+ team members and we believe in our ability to help people through the care of horses.

We are seeking a team player to work with a full-time surgeon and surgery team.
Horse experience is required.
Applicants must be able to maintain routine physical activity, possess a steady personality, be able to build relationships with our clients, and have the ability to manage their time.
Computer skills are a requirement.
This is a busy and interactive position that will require standing for long periods of time.
Duties include (but are not limited to)
* Patient restraint
* Unload surgery drop offs
* Prepare room for surgery
* Prepare patients for surgery (IV cath placement, placing ET tube, shaving and scrubbing surgical site, etc)
* Assist in anesthetizing horses and placing on surgery table
* Assist with intraoperative radiographs
* Able to rotate and provide anesthesia support
* Maintain all anesthesia protocols
* Trotting horses for exams
* Cleaning and stocking
* Data entry
Prior experience assisting with surgical procedures is not required, but is preferred.
This position is supported by a managing partner, surgeon, office manager, lead technician, receptionists, technicians, laboratory and pharmacy manager along with full time office and technical staff.
This position will work in the Salado office.
Hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 4 days a week with a rotating weekend shift once every 4-6 weeks.
