Nursing Assistant
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as tube feeding and catheterization
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (e.

- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Skills:
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Familiarity with various medical systems and electronic health record software (e.
g.

- Ability to catheterize patients when necessary
- Experience in caregiving, particularly in behavioral health, senior care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
