Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift

Essential Duties:
Perform varied clerical duties for the programs department including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
Maintain records and files in hard copy and electronic form; maintain confidentiality of all records and correspondence.
Assist programs staff in obtaining, preparing and/or copying materials.
Perform duties including typing correspondence, form letters, accountability forms, status reports and input/output forms in a timely manner.
Maintain files on department/records, offender records, forms and correspondence sent, received and/or requiring further action.
Type and proofread records, memos, reports, and forms; copy needed information from one record to another as required.
Route accordingly.
Log and distribute incoming documents and mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone, and convey messages.
Operate office equipment including computers, copiers, and printers.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED).
One (1) year full-time, wage-earning clerical or secretarial experience to include computer operations.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred.
A valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Must successfully complete annual, TDCJ approved background checks and in-service training requirements.
