Why Oncology/Hematology?
This 38-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics.
The conditions that are within the scope of service for 8 North include but are not limited to the following:
· Medical Oncology
· High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
· CAR T Cell Therapy
· Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
· Surgical Oncology
· Gynecologic Oncology
· Administration of Radiation Therapy
· Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
· Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
· Gynecologic Surgery
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
MAJOR - Nursing
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
