Schedule: Full Time - Days/Nights - 36 hours per week
Unit Summary
Exciting new department at Medical Center Temple offering the opportunity to work in a fast pace ever changing patient care environment.
You never experience the same day twice!
This 10-bed nursing unit provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment working with multiple patients requiring a variety of care needs.
The goal for these patients is to diagnose, monitor and treat patients within 36 hours.
If you are an experienced Med/Surg RN (Registered Nurse) this is a great place to use all of your skills! If you like to be busy and enjoy a challenging fast pace this is the department for you!
The conditions that are within the scope of service for the Observation Service include but are not limited to the following:
chest pain
CHF
syncope
dehydration
abdominal-gastrointestinal conditions

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
MAJOR - Nursing
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
