Summary of Position
In coordination with Dean of Institutional Accountability and Curriculum Support, this position is responsible for leading the entire grant management process.
This role involves identifying suitable funding sources, meticulously crafting compelling grant proposals that align with the criteria set by each funding source, and overseeing the development of grant reports submitted to our diverse funding agencies.
The successful candidate will showcase proficiency in harnessing online resources and application tools that are essential for securing funds from key grant sources.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with four years of experience
or
Associate’s Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with six years of experience
Minimum Required Experience
Four years’ experience in grant management with a Bachelors degree
or
Six years’ experience in grant management with an Associates degree
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with the Perkin’s Grant.
Knowledge of the Texas Reskilling and Upskilling through Education (TRUE) grant
Skilled in research and responding to internal and external auditors to resolve any grant-funded audit issues.
Ability to regularly alert stakeholders to grant and external funding sources that are available.
Skilled in developing and coordinating strategies that address the needs of the college for external funding sources to support new and continuing programs and projects that are consistent with the college’s overall mission and strategic plan.
Ability to compile and maintain data regarding the status of applications active agreements, and generate routine reports covering pending and active awards, funding levels, fund sources, and other pertinent grant-related information.
Ability to provide technical expertise to employees and partners concerning the grants process.
Ability to serve as instructor for seminars, workshops, and structured classes to increase grant development.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with department heads, funders, and internal/external project partners to develop joint projects and potential funding opportunities.
Ability to demonstrate success in writing and developing grants;
Excellent reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills; high-level analytic skills;
Ability to accomplish professional research and understand data;
Ability to research potential funding sources & communicate with potential applicants
Ability to process and analyze information accurately;
Ability to maintain consistency in actions and practices
Demonstrated skills in a variety of computer software applications (e.
g.
, word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and statistical software)
Ability to work independently while collaborating with other team members and exercise sound judgment
Detail oriented, problem-solving, and decision-making
Demonstrated experience in effective conflict management and resolution
Independent use of technology and virtual meeting platforms
Ability to learn and adapt to new processes
Salary 1G/Per Exempt Pay scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon - Thur 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Fri 7:30-11:30 am
