Roles and Responsibilities:
· Supervises employee drivers and work closely with our contract drivers to minimize expenditures and deliver the highest possible level of service to our customers.
· Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.
· Validating and approving 3rd freight party invoices
· Oversees DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet in Texas.
· Schedules repairs or preventative maintenance, ensuring that the necessary numbers of fleet vehicles are always available.
· Work closely with the maintenance team to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance.
· Supports a variety of logistical functions, including sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching.
· Ensure that all drivers understand and procure the licenses and permits they need to legally carry loads to customer destinations.
· Ensure that all load paperwork associated with each run is accurate and submitted to the proper people.
· Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
· Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.
· Act as a communication liaison to customers and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road.
· Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
· Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries.
Requires the ability to train, hire, and develop a diverse staff for consistent results.
Maintain high level of communication with internal, external customers, and management regarding status of projects, labor concerns and contracts.
Ability to forecast with accuracy when requested on jobs.
Assist with scheduling of inbound shipments for resale and recyclable loads.
Work with sales to coordinate delivery of units.
Efficiently schedule Sunbelt-Solomon Soluations truck and trailer resources.
Knowledge of transportation industry processes and procedures, required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
· HS Diploma/GED required
· 3+ years' logistics or general transportation experience
· 3+ years' management or supervisory experience
· Strong computer skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Bias to action and driving results
· Ability to exercise professional influence with tact and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers
· Knowledge in the transportation industry, preferred
