*Position Overview:*
ECS is seeking a skilled Shipping & Warehouse Management Supervisor to oversee and optimize the logistics and operations within our warehouse facility.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for streamlining processes to ensure efficient operations.
This role requires effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and coordinate shipments effectively.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Supervision and Leadership:*
* Lead a team of warehouse staff, including pallet assemblers, material handlers, and inventory associates.
* Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the warehouse environment.
* *Inventory Management:*
* Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the warehouse.
* Work directly with the inventory specialist to establish control procedures, ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
* Conduct regular audits to maintain inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
* *Shipping:*
* Work directly with Production Supervisors to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
* Work directly with the Purchasing and Logistics departments to schedule pickups and deliveries.
* Monitor shipping schedules and address any issues or delays proactively.
* *Process Optimization:*
* Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse processes and streamline operations.
* Implement best practices for warehouse layout, storage, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
* Utilize technology and automation tools to improve inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
* *Quality Control:*
* Ensure that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and customer requirements.
* Conduct regular quality inspections to identify any product defects or packaging issues.
* Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain high-quality standards.
* *Safety and Compliance:*
* Enforce safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
* Conduct safety training sessions for warehouse staff and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
* Proven experience in warehouse management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping processes.
* Proven experience with working with pallet assemblers and packaging/handling large equipment.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
