Essential Duties/ Responsibilities: Work with MCP Leadership and departmental managers to implement strategic plans, budgets, revenue, labor and expense initiatives for all resort departments that will provide consistent growth and profitability.
Support the creation and implementation of ongoing training, financial management and service skill development programs for the resort, ensuring that reward and recognition programs align with the mission of the Mountain Capital Partners’ strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with various strategic business partners, public agencies, community organizations, tenants, and others whose influence and cooperation are critical to Spider Mountain and Thunderbird’s success.
Responsible for ensuring a family-friendly experience for resort guests, including personally reviewing guest service scores and reviews, and making plans to address any issues.
Manage and provide guidance to departmental managers of all Spider Mountain departments including: Mountain Operations, Tickets, Rentals, Retail, Guest Services to ensure that financial and guest service goals are being met.
Directly oversee and lead all hospitality related departments including the lodge, marina, and food and beverage.
Directly and indirectly supervise all staff to ensure that proper recruitment, hiring, training, performance reviews, promotions, disciplinary actions, termination, and recognition are taking place.
Assist department supervisors in developing procedures, priorities, schedules, and cost controls.
Serve as the resort spokesman and communicator for employees, interdepartmental, guests and industry.
Monitor employee and team performance to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, all company equipment is being operated in a safe and responsible manner Job Qualifications: Education or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, management, or a related field preferred Experience: At least five years of previous management experience required.
Outdoor recreation experience preferred, hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must be able to mountain bike at an intermediate level or higher, and passionate about growing and expanding the sport Strong Business Acumen Strong people leadership and change management skills required Strong project management skills required Ability to read a P&L and adhere to a budget Ability to develop and grow direct reports
